What Is Ordo Salutis?
The ordo salutis — Latin for "order of salvation" — is the Reformed account of how redemption is applied to sinners in sequence: effectual calling, regeneration, conversion (faith and repentance), justification, adoption, sanctification, perseverance, and glorification. The order is logical rather than strictly chronological, anchored in Paul's "golden chain" in Romans 8:29-30.
