Psalms 24

[Bible] Remember and return unto Jehovah, Do all ends of the earth, And before Thee bow themselves, Do all families of the nations, For to Jehovah [is] the kingdom, And He is ruling among nations. And the fat ones of earth have eaten, And they bow themselves, Before Him bow do all going down to dust, And he [who] hath not revived his soul. A seed doth serve Him, It is declared of the Lord to the generation. They come and declare His righteousness, To a people that is borne, that He hath made! Chapter 23 A Psalm of David. Jehovah [is] my shepherd, I do not lack, In pastures of tender grass He causeth me to lie down, By quiet waters He doth lead me. My soul He refresheth, He leadeth me in paths of righteousness, For His name`s sake, Also — when I walk in a valley of death-shade, I fear no evil, for Thou [art] with me, Thy rod and Thy staff — they comfort me. Thou arrangest before me a table, Over-against my adversaries, Thou hast anointed with oil my head, My cup is full! Only — goodness and kindness pursue me, All the days of my life, And my dwelling [is] in the house of Jehovah, For a length of days! Chapter 24 A Psalm of David. To Jehovah [is] the earth and its fulness, The world and the inhabitants in it. For He on the seas hath founded it, And on the floods He doth establish it. Who goeth up into the hill of Jehovah? And who riseth up in His holy place? The clean of hands, and pure of heart, Who hath not lifted up to vanity his soul, Nor hath sworn to deceit. He beareth away a blessing from Jehovah, Righteousness from the God of his salvation. This [is] a generation of those seeking Him. Seeking Thy face, O Jacob! Selah. Lift up, O gates, your heads, And be lifted up, O doors age-during, And come in doth the king of glory! Who [is] this — `the king of glory?` Jehovah — strong and mighty, Jehovah, the mighty in battle. Lift up, O gates, your heads, And be lifted up, O doors age-during, And come in doth the king of glory!

Whereas I have formerly been driven from God’s house, I rest assured that I shall now constantly enjoy that blessed privilege of serving and enjoying God in his sanctuary, which I prize more than all my dominions ## Psalms 24:1 PSALM 24 ## This Psalm is generally and probably thought to have been composed by David, upon that solemn occasion of brining the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the tabernacle which David had built for it, 2Sa 6 ; wherein he hath a further prospect, even to the temple, which he earnestly desired and intended to build, and which he knew would be built by his son. And when this was done, and the ark brought into it, this Psalm was to be sung, and indeed to this time it seems chiefly directed. For David’s Psalms were not only used by himself upon the first occasions for which he made them, but they were committed to the prefects of sacred music, for the use of the church in all succeeding times. And being a prophet, he speaks, as the prophets used, of things to come as if they were already present, and turns his speech to the temple and its gates, as if they were now built. Moreover, because the tabernacle, and temple, and ark were manifest types of Christ, and of his church, and of the place and state of heavenly glory, David extended his thoughts to them also, or at least the Holy Ghost designed to comprehend them under these typical expressions. ## David acknowledgeth God’s sovereignty over the world, Psa_24:1 ,2 .

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over. Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, And I shall dwell in Yahweh's house forever. Chapter 24 A Psalm by David. Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart; Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, And has not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from Yahweh, Righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek your face"even Jacob. Selah. Lift up your heads, you gates; Be lifted up, you everlasting doors: The King of glory will come in. Who is the King of glory? Yahweh strong and mighty, Yahweh mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates; Yes, lift them up, you everlasting doors: The King of glory will come in. Who is this King of glory? Yahweh of Armies, He is the King of glory. Selah. Chapter 25 By David. To you, Yahweh, do I lift up my soul. My God, I have trusted in you, Don't let me be shamed. Don't let my enemies triumph over me. Yes, no one who waits for you shall be shamed. They shall be shamed who deal treacherously without cause. Show me your ways, Yahweh. Teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth, and teach me, For you are the God of my salvation, I wait for you all day long. Yahweh, remember your tender mercies and your loving kindness, For they are from old times. Don't remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions. Remember me according to your loving kindness, For your goodness' sake, Yahweh. Good and upright is Yahweh,
